With the busy Holiday weekend I'm combining Shadow Shot and Pet Pride this week. Shadows have been a bit scarce these days, but the dogs seem to be able to find them better than I do!!!

AND Pet Pride has the host with the most, Bozo from Mumbai! And you can click on his icon and let your pets show their stuff!

Mojo meditating in preparation for the Christmas feast! If you embiggen you can see why he's called Max the Tongue!

Max the Tongue is spending the Christmas holidays with us as his human friends are out of town and here are the three buddies enjoying some sunshine yesterday!

It was brilliantly sunny Christmas day and I couldn't resist a trip to beach below the harbor where I found this one.

This was kind of an interesting shot -- it was raining very hard and yet there were some shadowy reflections through the curtains and I loved being able to see the big raindrops!

And some color, of course!!

New Year's is a harmless annual institution, of no particular use to anybody save as a scapegoat for promiscuous drunks, and friendly calls and humbug resolutions. ~Mark Twain

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.
Rabindranath Tagore

I wish we could put up some of the Christmas spirit in jars and open a jar of it every month. ~Harlan Miller

Your Laugh for the Day!

Miscommunication

A co-worker got a pen stuck inside our printer. He started to try and remove the pen, but I told him we didn't have time for that now, and to just put a note on the printer telling folks not to use it. Then report it to the Help Desk. So he grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled on it. I left before he finished the note.
About 20 minutes later, one of my techs came in laughing and said he was just in the lobby, saw a piece of paper on a printer and went to investigate.
Attached is what he found. Sometimes things don't always come out the way you want them to...

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
